Recap Fall Tour 2013 – Toronto

Dr. Laurie Marker visited Toronto for two days in October 2013.

Toronto Zoo, October 15, 2013 

 

Dr. Marker was invited to speak about cheetah conservation and the ‘’Race Against Extinction’’ to more than 130 attendees at the Toronto Zoo.  The presentation was well received by the audience.

At the end of the presentation, Cheetah Conservation Fund Canada signed an agreement with Dr. Marker for the execution of programs that our charity in Canada would support.

The Current

 

Laurie was interviewed on CBC Radio’s national current affairs program, ‘’The Current’’ about “Why the world’s speediest land animal faces the possibility of a speedy exit …”

Public Lecture followed by Q&A

 

Laurie delivered a public lecture in Toronto on ‘’Leadership and Conservation’’, moderated by the executive director of Nature Canada.  People of all ages were in attendance.
